Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified and experienced Marine Surveyors to join our team in various locations across Australia. As a Marine Surveyor with ADEC Kedge, you will play a crucial role in conducting statutory surveys, plan and stability approvals, safety management system audits, and providing expert advice on vessel surveying, engineering, and building.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct statutory surveys in accordance with AMSA regulations and other applicable standards, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Provide expert advice on vessel surveying, engineering, and building as required, following ADEC Kedge policies and procedures.
- Undertake new vessel surveys as necessary, adhering to reporting protocols outlined by ADEC Kedge policies and procedures.
- Provide recommendations to the National Regulator about the compliance of vessels to the applicable legislation, exemptions and standards.
Requirements:
- Accreditation as a Marine Surveyor preferred.
- Excellent understanding of AMSA regulations, exemptions and other relevant industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to form good relationships with clients, consulting on options according to standards and helping clients to achieve their goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel and work in various locations across Australia and overseas as required.
